Community Services

Public Education

Lake Villa Fire Protection District strives to protect our residents from unforeseen life and property tragedy. Part of the Fire Prevention Bureau’s responsibilities include Public Education and communicating fire safety to our residents.   This is accomplished through community programs including block parties, school visits, station tours, and special events.

The Lake Villa Fire Protection District conducts station tours and honors public education requests on a pre-scheduled basis. If you or your group would be interested in such, please contact Fire Prevention Lieutenant, Justin Biggs at (224) 444-8222. Requests and visits are subject to change.

About CPR

Almost 2/3 of the deaths from heart attacks occur before the victim reaches a hospital. Many deaths can be prevented with prompt help. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, or CPR, performed promptly can help victims survive until advanced life support arrives on the scene.

Commitment to Learn CPR

No matter what your reason for wanting to be CPR certified, it is important to realize that just knowing how to properly perform CPR will make you a more useful member of your community. Brain death occurs 4-6 minutes after the heart stops beating, knowing how to perform CPR and calling 911 is a major key to helping save lives.
