Lock Boxes

The Lake Villa Fire Protection District uses the Knox Rapid Access System to gain entry into a building if necessary.

Location of all Knox Boxes shall be coordinated with the Lake Villa Fire Prevention Bureau. When installation is made outside of your building, please call (224) 44-8222 and a member of the Lake Villa Fire Department will come out to place your keys (which must be labeled using key label discs) in the box while you are present.

Knox Boxes and Knox equipment can be ordered though KNOXBOX.COM or an order form can be picked up from the fire bureau at 910 East Grand Ave., Lake Villa, IL. 60046.

The Lake Villa Fire Protection District has very limited stock of residential door hanger Knox Boxes. These boxes can be requested by the resident for a period of 60 days with a refundable deposit. Such boxes are typically used when an individual is experiencing health issues that may inhibit their ability to open the door in case of an emergency.
